Roval is Specialized's in-house wheel brand and these Rapide CLX 40 wheels provide very good performance for the money, rivalling more established names in the carbon aero wheel market like Zipp and Enve.
Specialized has been developing its own wheels under the Roval label for about a decade now, after acquiring the French brand. They've been used by the likes of pro racing team Quick Step and Tom Boonen in the highest level races, and the Tinkoff-Saxo team race them currently
The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength.
Sapims cold forged aero spokes are used by professional road racers, triathletes and even downhill racers all around the world. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. The CX-Ray fits easily into standard hubs
The ends have a diameter of 2 mm and the aero section measures 0,9x2,2 mm.
The premium 180 hub convinces with its sophisticated Ratchet EXP technology giving the hub extra lightness, stiffness, precision and an easy no-tool maintenance.
Furthermore, assembled with the low-friction SINC ceramic bearings, the hub performs efficiently and brings your power directly to the road.

The name PureGrip does exactly what it says; exceptionally good grip and durability are the distinguishing features of this compound. Engineered with PureGrip in our Performance products in our road and mountain bike ranges.
Presta valves can hold more pressure and do it more reliably because the air pressure itself seals them tightly.
They are also lighter and improve the wheel's rolling resistance.
Plus, Presta valves are easily extendable with adapters, so the same valve or inner tube can be used on different types of rims
